Principal's Welcome

The Duncan Academy is a boutique private school located in the Greater Toronto Area. We believe that every student grows and succeeds in his or her own unique way. Each student possesses different strengths, personalities, learning styles, goals, and aspirations. Our role is not simply to lead every student toward the same destination, but to help each individual discover a pathway that is genuinely suited to their potential and future.

At The Duncan Academy, education goes beyond academics. We strive to create an environment where students feel recognized, supported, and guided throughout their high school journey. Our school offers a rigorous academic curriculum, flexible semester options, and our distinctive Micro-Class model, with only 3–5 students per class. This refined learning environment allows teachers to understand students more personally, provide individualized attention, and respond to their academic and emotional needs with greater effectiveness.

We also recognize that international students often face challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. Adjusting to a new language, educational system, culture, and level of independence can be both exciting and demanding. For this reason, our teachers and staff pay close attention not only to academic performance, but also to students' daily progress, learning habits, confidence, personal growth, and overall well-being.

At The Duncan Academy, students do not simply learn knowledge — they learn how to think critically, communicate effectively, overcome challenges, and collaborate with others. We hope that when students graduate from The Duncan Academy, they leave with far more than strong transcripts or university offers. We hope they leave with maturity, independence, integrity, resilience, and a lifelong passion for learning.
